The
Meeting Of Minds
For conventions
incentives or other special gatherings, Club Makokola has a
modern air-conditioned Conference Centre ideally situated in quiet
bougainvillaea fringed gardens away from the main hotel complex.
Two main conference rooms are
available, with one seating up to 110 delegates while the other seats 40.
Breakaway rooms are also available and an open garden courtyard provides
the perfect location for teas, barbecues or buffet luncheons.

Once a meeting is finished
for the day, there's a selection of things to see and do. We will assist
with ideas and proposals that will stimulate the participants to surpass
even the most exacting expectations.
There's always sun, sand and
the Lake. There's also golf, tennis, squash, boating, diving and sunset
cruises.

Arrangements
can be made for special events such as theme evenings - an Italian or
Oriental evening, a pirate party or a beach party complete with the
African rhythms of a local band. Authentic traditional dances performed by
local villagers to the beat of mighty drums depict Malawian myths and
legends and feature unusual costumes and masks and even dancing on stilts.

Club Makokola is
unquestionably the ideal year-round conference destination. Malawi's
lakeside areas have a low rainfall, and a warm relaxing climate. Many
options exist for pre and post-conference tours and excursions.

Getting
Here
By Air
- A charter company will
fly your delegates directly from Lilongwe International
Airport to the lakeshore.
- Air Malawi provides a service to the
lakeshore. The airstrip adjoins the Club Makokola premises so guests
can walk from the plane to your reception in minutes. Club
Makokola’s IATA code is CMK.
- Club Makokola’s airstrip is also open
to private aircraft. The airstrip’s ICAO code is FWCM.
By Road
Club Makokola is connected to Blantyre and Lilongwe
by national roads. We can advise regarding booking of road transfers for
groups. Car Hire is also available at the various international airports.
