SCUBA
BLUE
Privately owned and independantly managed, Scuba
Blue’s Dive Centre commenced operations on site at Club Makokola in
October 1996. The staff of Scuba Blue, however have been running a scuba
diving centre in Malawi since 1986 and are therefore well qualified to
show guests the best dive sites in the area and to cater for all your
diving requirements.
Scuba Blue runs two open, wooden dive boats which
can cater for a total of 14 divers at a time. Most of our dives are
conducted in Lake Malawi National Park waters, on rock reefs or dive sites
around Boadzulu Island. We have a full range of dive gear (sufficient to
kit up to 14 divers) available for hire. This excludes items of a more
personal nature such as dive watches and computers, which are used by our
staff but are not available for hire.
Scuba Blue caters for the complete
beginner with no diving experience as well as qualified divers. We run a
‘resort course’ of one day’s duration which gives non divers a
chance to discover the magic of diving. We also run full certification
courses under the auspices of NAUI (National Association of Underwater
Instructors — USA).
NAUI certified courses are internationally recognised. We are also an
accredited PADI (Professional Association of Dive Instructors) Resort Dive
Centre. For qualified divers we offer a number of dive packages. Our
packages include a dive ‘buddy’ or dive leader to accompany you when
diving. We recognise all major diving qualifications. Please remember to
bring proof of you diving qualification.
Scuba Blue offers the following NAUI courses
· Resort Course (one day non certificate course)
· Scuba Diver (six days)
· Advanced Diver (three days)
· Rescue Diver (three days)
· Master Diver (six days)
· Divemaster (six days)
